Yoga Class with Melinda

 

Curious (and maybe a little intimidated) about trying Yoga?

In this class you can expect an environment free of competition and free of comparison.  It’s not about “nailing the pose”,  it’s about gentle movement and feeling better. Because every body has different abilities on different days, do only what is available to you. Prior experience and flexibility are not required.

 

Using the Hatha style you will be guided through poses with emphasis on alignment, breath, and mindfulness.  A typical class features:


- Gentle warm-up
- Sun Salutations
- Standing, seated, and supine postures
- Modifications provided for varying abilities
- Includes components of balance, strengthening and core poses
- Concludes with extended relaxation (Savasana) “
