Trails Information

Rockwall has over 20 miles of trails, including park trails, street trails, neighborhood trails and even a mountain bike trail.

According to research, 30 minutes a day of moderate exercise for adults and 60 minutes a day for kids is all it takes to realize numerous health benefits: reduction in stress, cholesterol, high blood pressure, weight and the list goes on and on. Not to mention, going outside just makes you feel happy!

60% of Rockwall residents live within a ½ mile of a park or trail and almost 80% live within one mile. It takes about 15 minutes to walk about a mile. So if you just walk to a park and back, you’ve met your exercise goal for the day!

If you’re not sure where to go for your next run, walk or bike ride, we’ve put together a few suggestions for you. Below are some routes that utilize Rockwall parks and trails. Squabble Creek - Mountain Bike Trail

5:00 am to 10:00 pm

Squabble Creek Mountain Bike Trail is a six-mile trail system consisting of six trails. The trails are a combination of connected single track loops offering a wide range of terrain: hills, tight and twisty, smooth and flowing, with some fun rollers along the creek. Trails are also open to hikers, runners and animal walkers, so please use caution. Features include: Trails, Picnic Tables, Restrooms, and Drinking Fountains
